Happy Chinese New Year of the Dragon!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Chinese New Year is on January 23, 2012 and it’s the year of the dragon! I hope you all like the new silver dragon pendant necklaces and vibrant Chinese New Year earrings that I have designed in honor of the year of the dragon. The dragon pendants are oxidized silver plated over brass and hang on sterling silver chains. There is either a freshwater silver pearl or a candy apple red quartz connected to the dragon's leg. My Chinese New Year collection of earrings are very vibrant with bold and festive contrasting colors. I have made them using antique colored Czech cherry blossom glass and square and coin Czech glass beads. These one of a kind earring designs are bold and festive with red and blue and green and orange contrasting colors. I have also included freshwater green pearls, blue chalcedony, and green onyx in these earring designs.
The dragon in Chinese culture is a symbol of good fortune and sign of intense power and is said to be a deliverer of good fortune and is a master of authority. People born in the year of the dragon are known to be innovative, self-assured, flexible, passionate, brave, free spirited, charismatic, and smart and witty. However, they also possess negative characteristics as well. For instance, they crave for attention and are egoistical by nature and have a tendency to be bossy. Dragons are blessed with good health. Dragons are pretty imaginative at work and prefer taking a radical approach towards their work. The best occupations for dragons are inventor, computer analyst, politician, architect, engineer, philosopher, lawyer, broker, advertising agent, salesman and manager.
