Japanese gingko tree bird watercolor mixed media painting poster print
This is my Japanese gingko tree bird watercolor mixed media painting poster print. I painted during the Fall season in 2019 and it was inspired by my trip to Japan where I saw beautiful groves of yellow gingko trees all over Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Nara. Autumn is a second Spring where every leaf is a like a flower. The crisp air of Fall and vibrant yellow orange red fall foliage makes Fall one of my favorite seasons! This is a poster print of my mixed media painting, original size is 11x14". I used burgundy pen and ink to outline the gingko leaves. I painted each gingko leaf with watercolor paints, gold calligraphy ink and bleed proof white ink outlining each leaf. I painted a cute fuzzy red brown bird relaxing on the gingko tree.
