This is my Autumn golden trumpet tree love birds Chinese Brush Painting. I painted this with orange, yellow, black and brown calligraphy ink and shimmery watercolors on Arteza cold press watercolor paper, 140lb. Golden trumpet flowers, or Allamanda cathartica are steeped in cultural significance. In some traditions, their trumpet-like shape is seen as a herald of good news, echoing the use of trumpets in historical announcements. Their golden color is often associated with the sun, symbolizing life, vitality, and enlightenment. I painted the trumpet flowers with a more orange hue for an autumnal look and added shimmery orange watercolor paint on the trumpet flowers making them shimmer in the light.
