Loquat Branch Butterfly Chinese Brush Painting
This is my Loquat Branch Butterfly Chinese Brush Painting. I painted this with orange, yellow, green and brown calligraphy ink on Arteza cold press watercolor paper, 140lb. I painted a yellow orange butterfly attracted to the fresh and sweet loquat fruit. Loquas are native to tropical regions of China but are now grown in other parts of the world that have warm climates like Australia, Hawaii, California and Florida and are abundant in the Spring. Loquats have been used for a long time in Chinese medicine. They’re believed to increase heart health, have anticancer properties, and help with some respiratory issues. Most of the medicinal applications are made with the leaves, seeds, and skins, rather than the fresh fruit. This painting comes in poster prints in various sizes 11x14", 16x20", 20x30" and come unframed. The original framed painting is also for sale and is 9"x12", just select Original Framed Painting.
