Spirited Away Color Pencil Drawing Poster Print
This is my Spirited Away Color Pencil Drawing Poster Print. I created with Kuretake ink and drew the beautiful Japanese onsen and spirit characters. I just love this movie as it reminds of Japan and is a story about a little girl Chihiro through her journey of self-discovery. She whines like a spoiled little brat in the very first scene, but by the end of the movie, she becomes a caring young woman who learns to work hard, care about others, and stand up for herself and what’s right. Hiyao Miyazaki is known for loading his movies with imagery depicting the error of human ways. In Spirited Away, he tackles consumerism and gluttony with Chihiro’s parents eating so much they become pigs, talking about how they’ll pay for everything later with cash and credit cards. And No-Face feeds the greed of the bathhouse workers with false gold. No-Face grows so big and Chihiro has to save him with her magical dumpling she was saving for her parents. He then proceeds to vomit up people and items until he gets back down to a normal size. Both Chihiro and Ubaba’s baby were spoiled brats, and both become decent by the end of the movie. And of course I had to draw in Totoro and soot sprites! This poster comes in 4 sizes: 9x12", 11x14", 16x20", and 20x30" and comes in high quality archival grade poster paper.
