Sonoran Desert Quail Copic Marker Poster Print
This is my Sonoran Desert Quail Copic Marker Poster Print. It was inspired by my trip to Phoenix and Tuscon Arizona where we saw lots of saguaro cactuses and succulents all over the city. I just love all the rock formations, desert plants and animals of the hot desert in Arizona. The quails run around the desert floor looking for food. They have such beautiful colorful feathers. The saguaro is adapted to make the most of every drop of rain. The saguaro features a pleated surface which allows it to expand to contain all the water it needs: it can hold over 1,000 gallons of water! Saguaros are supported by a ribbed, woody skeleton, which expands like an accordion to allow the plant to retain moisture. Dozens of animal species depend on the saguaro. Birds, bats, insects, lizards, and mammals feast on their fruit, flowers, and flesh. Birds of prey and even some ground-dwelling animals like bobcats roost in the spiny cacti’s arms. The original gold framed artwork is also on sale.
