This is my Japan red maple leaf watercolor painting poster print. I used a layering watercolor and wet on wet and dry on wet technique to create this piece. I was inspired to paint these red maples when I visited Japan in November 2019 to see all the vibrant fall foliage all over Tokyo, Osaka and the mountains of Kyoto and Nara! The maple leaves are very small but glow with the sun's rays hitting it from the top, the scenery was magical.
