Gliding Into The Sun

Description of "Gliding Into the Sun"
This is a painting I did for my mother for her birthday. She loved it! It's a painting of a hawk gliding into the sunset surrounded by a vibrant orange cherry blossom tree. I love taking pictures during the sunset hours and taking pictures of sunsets because the colors of everything become warm and vibrant at this hour. I wanted to create a painting of orange cherry blossoms because it doesn't really exist in nature but artistically through painting, I can create a representation of the sunset.
Inspiration of "Gliding Into The Sun"
What inspired me to paint this painting are the beautiful sunsets at the Ragged Point Inn located on the Pacific Coast Highway on the way to Hearst Castle. You can see beautiful mountains, ocean views of big firs, and the amazing sunset. I was lucky to stay at the Ragged Point Inn for one night and see the gorgeous sunset and birds soaring freely towards the sunset. The bird symbolizes freedom and adventure. My current goal is to explore the entire California coastline and seek out all the waterfall hikes in California that very few have been to or could even find on the map. I hope to inspire others to be adventurous too; to do what they love whatever it maybe, stick to their goal, and fulfill their dreams.
