Kblossoms has created a very “green” and environmentally friendly recycled wind chime design where I re-use all my left-over broken or damaged beads, charms, and pendants in a one-of-a kind artistic creation. This is a perfect gift for my dad, an avid gardener who will appreciate this wind chime since he loves to collect junk and never wants to throw anything away. I would feel very guilty throwing away these beautiful precious beads even when they are slightly damaged. I think putting these beads in a wind chime creation is a great way to re-use my beads for forever so they never end up in the trash.
This gold wind chime is entirely hand-made using recycled glass soda bottles, semi-precious and precious stones, matte gold and gold plated designs, gold plated chains that were left-over pieces from my jewelry collection. I used pearls, rose quartz, peacock teal blue quartz, emerald green onyx, champagne yellow mystic quartz, blue chalcedony, pink amethyst, smokey quartz, orange chalcedony, and other precious stones in this wind chime. The precious stones within the glass bottles are the smaller stones that have their tops broken off during the wire wrapping process. I wire wrapped the larger stones to the chains. I also used strong gold plated and silver wire to wire wrap all the precious beads together on the gold chain strand. This wind chime is meant to be left outdoors and rust over time to create that antique patina look. The beads and glass coke bottles will jingle and sparkle as the soft wind blows and the sun’s rays hits them. I wrapped burgundy red ribbon around the wooden clothing hanger and tied a nice golden bow to it to give it a nice “gift” accent it.
